The use of this language is not condoned by the project editors and The University of Manchester, but we are committed to providing access to this material as evidence of the inequalities and attitudes of the time period.

The Bow in the Cloud consists of 86 poems and prose pieces. Below are the published pieces, listed in the order in which they appeared in the anthology, that have been transcribed and encoded in TEI XML. Each item also includes 'textual paths' to manuscript versions of each piece (listed under 'Contents'), any related correspondence to the submission (such as cover letters), and, in some cases, visual material (such as photographs and artworks).

She also kept a significant amount of her correspondence. Below is a selection of unpublished poems and letters from the Bow in the Cloud archive that are significant examples of collaboration, the making of the book, and correspondence with authors (including some from luminaries who declined to contribute). Each text is a semi-diplomatic transcription that observes line-breaks and most formatting. Links to the TEI XML source data are included at the top of each page.
